Washington Union has a policy where students can be placed on a Non-Privilege List for various reasons. Below documents the infractions and activities that can result in a student being placed on the Non-Privilege List and consequently not be able to participate in certain activities. Please contact your child’s Academy Director if you have any questions regarding this policy.

 

Non-Privilege List Breakdown Grades 9-12


Non-Privilege Actions

  • Grades
    • Below 2.0 gpa
    • Grades Checked and updated every 3 weeks
  • Attendance
    • Below 90%
    • Attendance checked and updated weekly
  • Detentions
    • 10 or more detentions
    • Detentions checked and updated daily
  • Behavior
    • Students on suspension or other disciplinary actions
    • Checked and updated based on student involvement

 

 Non-Privilege Consequences/Check Process

 Students who are on the Non-Privilege list may not be allowed to attend the following:

 

  • School Dances
  • List of Non-Privilege List will be given to Activities Director for reference check the day before event by Administration
  • School Field Trips
  • Group Organizer of each Field Trip will be responsible for submitting a list of potential students who will be attending the field trip to Administration at least 1 week prior to event
  • Off campus Lunch Privileges
  • Each academy will be responsible for communicating with students about taking away their privilege to be off-campus during lunch
