Washington Union’s Fall athletic programs enjoyed a successful 2019 season, bringing home big wins in multiple sports. The Boy Varsity Football Team finished first in the NSL and is still competing for the 2019 Central Section CIF Les Schwab Football Championships. The Panthers will play Bakersfield’s North Stars this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at John Ventura Stadium.
Girls golf team member Natalie Reisdorfer finished 2nd in the North Sequoia League (NSL) Golf Championship and was one of only 3 students in the NSL to qualify for the North Area Girls Golf Tournament.
The Girls Varsity Volleyball Team finished second in the NSL behind Yosemite after winning the State Championship in 2018. The Cross Country teams performed well, bringing home both individual and team victories throughout the season. Highlights included the Girls team winning 1st place in their race in Atascadero, 1st place in Hanford, and 2nd at the race held at Avocado Lake.
